Unique! This is the only antique ocean desktop globe to feature both illumination and raised relief. The raised relief is a popular feature that indicates the mountain ranges by way of a slightly raised surface, giving the Carlyle a tactile element. When illuminated, the ocean ridges appear enhancing the whole effect.

Standing on a square, walnut veneered base and supported by a bronze effect die cast semi-meridian embossed with degrees of latitude, and decorated with Fleurs de Lys, the Carlyle is both functional and eye-catching.

One of Replogles World Classic range, and completely up-to-date, the Carlyle has over 4000 place names. There are depictions of explorers and their voyages, along with illustrations of several ancient sea vessels. There are even some mythical sea creatures to add to the appeal of this globe.
