Classic in design, the illuminated Lancaster chair-side floor globe rests on a dark cherry-finished stand. The decorative carved accents enhance the 12" antique ocean globe ball.

It is a popular, good quality, political globe with over 4000 place names and up-to-date cartography. Although predominently a political globe, the mountain ranges are clearly shown on the Copenhagen Antique, and when illuminated the ocean ridges appear, for added interest. The ocean currents and depths are also indicated on this globe.

Some other features include drawings of famous explorers and the dates of their voyages. You will find the likes of Cook, Magellan, Darwin and Columbus to name but a few.
