The 13" Metis gemstone globe offers more detail and slightly more stone variety than the 9" model. Some examples of semi precious stones are malachite, mother of pearl, jasper, amethyst, crystal, agate and tiger eye.

There are over forty stones used in all Metis gemstone globe models.

You will never find two globes exactly the same, the larger the models, the more intricate the shapes and detail. The lines of latitude and longitude are very fine gilded wire and all the legends on the globe are silk screen printed to a high quality.

A brass plated four legged stand and meridian with built-in compass cradle this lustrous globe.

The top of the range, mother of pearl globe is constructed from large pieces of freshwater oyster shells giving the globe a brighter colour. Only available in 13" size.
