Voyages and vessels of great explorers, starting with the Vikings in the North, through to the Tudors, and, of course, the voyage of the Beagle in the 1830s, are represented pictorially.

A handsome wooden base and pedestal, finished in rich walnut completes the effect. By simply removing the centrepost, the Commander II converts from a 38" floor model to a convenient table globe.
