The Planet Earth National Science Edition provides a very high quality, accurate and professional learning tool. The Planet Earth is essentially a 13 inch diameter globe ball that has been recognised by the globe industry for excellence. The globe ball is surrounded by dual meridians made from steel sprayed acrylic. The meridians are attached to a solid steel base.

The Planet earth is a unique educational tool. It shows day and night time for any time, date and location in the world throughout the four seasons. the globe ball itself is not only illuminated but features dual mapping which highlights the political features of the world when the light is turned off and the physical features when the globe is illuminated.

The globe can be manually adjusted by turning the circular control above the base seen in the second photo. This allows for both forward and backward motion so the owner can see past, present and future hours of daylight and darkness for easy demonstration and understanding.

A pinpoint light shows the actual location of the sun throughout the year. Special 'Twilight Rings' depict the three zones of dawn and dusk.
